The Path To Reform Physical Therapy and Wellness
2/1/2025

Hi there!
Welcome to the first edition of Reform’s monthly newsletter! One of my goals for the new year was to start a newsletter, so here we go! Typically, this newsletter will include physical therapy and exercise related information, fun new exercises you may have not seen before, client testimonials and upcoming events! This month, I’ve decided to start with sharing some more personal information about my background and why I decided to start Reform PT.

The Path to Reform:
My journey in physical therapy began on the soccer fields of Miami University (Ohio), where I competed as a D1 athlete. Those years not only shaped my understanding of athletic performance but also gave me firsthand experience with injury prevention and rehabilitation. This perspective would later prove invaluable in my approach to treating active adults.
After my undergraduate years, I attended Northwestern University in Chicago for graduate school. Little did I know that besides earning my doctorate in physical therapy, I'd also meet my future husband! While Chicago will always hold a special place in my heart (deep dish pizza ILY), we decided to make the move to Middle TN! This was a good compromise for us, since my husband is originally from New Orleans. We have now been Murfreesboro residents for ~4 years, along with our sweet 12-year-old Vizsla mix, and we're excitedly preparing to welcome our baby boy this June.
After graduating, I worked at a corporate physical therapy company for four years, where I gained a lot of patient experience, management skills, and was able to complete my Residency Board Certification in Orthopedics. I also hold certifications in treating womens health and pelvic floor conditions, as well as dry needling.

Why Reform Physical Therapy?
Throughout my career in traditional physical therapy settings, I noticed a recurring challenge: the inability to provide the dedicated, one-on-one care that patients truly deserve. Too often, I saw the "assembly line" approach to patient care, where quantity took precedence over quality. This observation became the catalyst for Reform Physical Therapy.
Here, every session is a full hour of undivided attention. No juggling multiple patients or rushed treatments. Just focused, personalized care tailored to each individual's needs. Whether I'm working with an athlete recovering from an injury, an avid Crossfitter trying to snatch without nagging shoulder pain, or someone dealing with postpartum concerns, each patient receives the same level of dedicated attention. Since opening seven months ago, I have found the client outcomes to be substantially different than when I worked in a corporate clinic. Not only were people feeling better faster, but they were creating long lasting changes and daily habits that allowed them to return to all sorts of activities they hadn't done in years! This has been incredibly rewarding to see the impact high quality care can have on people's livelihood, and I am so grateful to all my patients thus far who have trusted me with their care!

Thank you so much for following along, and stay tuned for what's to come next month! Feel free to share with family and friends who may be interested and reply back with any questions!
